John Ferrin, DMD, MS
Dr. Malloy's journey into periodontics wasn't a straight line. However, given that he was always surrounded by the influence of dentistry the allure of combining his passion for helping people with his scientific curiosity led him to his calling. His unique perspective on dentistry as a form of "engineering" to restore teeth to their optimal function allows him to approach each case with a blend of precision and artistry.
Kyle Malloy, DMD, MS
Dr. Ferrin's dedication to providing compassionate periodontal care stems from his own experiences. As a child, he faced dental anxiety, and this unique understanding has shaped his approach to patient care, fostering a deep empathy for individuals who share similar feelings. His time in the military also helped him realize that his true calling lay in a profession where he could utilize his gentle nature and love for healing.
How We Can Support Your Smile
Periodontal Evaluation
The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) recommends that you receive a comprehensive periodontal evaluation, or CPE, annually to determine if you have or if you are at risk for periodontal disease. By assessing your periodontal health yearly, you and your dental professional will know how healthy your teeth and gums are, and will be better able to assess if you need additional treatment.
Soft Tissue Grafting (Gum Grafting)
Soft Tissue Grafting, often referred to as Gum Grafting, is a specialized dental procedure aimed at restoring and enhancing the health and appearance of your gums. This treatment involves taking a small amount of tissue, typically from the roof of your mouth or another donor source, and carefully grafting it to areas of your gums that have receded or thinned over time.
LANAP
LANAP, or Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, is a groundbreaking dental technique designed to treat moderate to severe gum disease in a minimally invasive way. Unlike traditional gum surgery, which often involves cutting and suturing.
Periodontal Maintenance
Periodontal maintenance therapy is an ongoing program designed to prevent the progression of periodontal (gum) disease in the gum tissue and bone that supports the teeth. Periodontal maintenance is usually necessary for patients who have been diagnosed with and treated for periodontal disease.
Dental Implants
Dental implants represent a groundbreaking advancement in restorative dentistry. They offer the longest lasting and most natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth, providing numerous benefits.
IV Sedation
IV sedation is typically necessary for oral surgeries and more complicated dental procedures. It involves placing a small IV into the arm and delivering a safe sedative into your system.
